Meet Dominic Cyr

If you've spent any time at Radiance, chances are you've crossed paths with Dom. A familiar face in classes nearly every day, he embodies the consistency, curiosity, and heart that make our community so special.

In this month's Student Spotlight, we asked Dom a few questions on finding his yoga home at Radiance. His story is a beautiful reminder of how a regular practice can transform not only how we move, but how we live.

What originally drew you to Radiance — and what made you stay?

I was drawn to Radiance by the name and then the ambiance. Simple, open, and loving. I took Susie as my first class at Radiance and i knew i had found a home for my practice. I took Lois's Tuesday night class and found internal movement where there had been none. All the rest that makes up the healing vortex that is Radiance has kept me enthralled and Grateful to be here.

What does stepping into the studio feel like for you?

A sense of relief and a feeling of peace.

How has your relationship with yourself shifted through your practice?

Determination and self love have been the gifts that keep giving back and have their own momentum.  That has shifted my everything! Lol!

What's something you've learned on the mat that you carry into everyday life?

Dom can do hard things

When do you feel most connected to yourself during practice?

Often, the moment never ends. My practice shapes my routine, and it is fluid and continuous throughout.

What does "being present" mean to you now compared to when you first started yoga?

I was asleep, and now i am awake.
